We are
these days,
estranged ,
my shadow and I.
He accused me
of walking in the dark.
He alleged
I walked in
the dark
in order to efface him
so he wouldn't track me.
I
protested,
I walked alone even in the light,
and in the dark
when I really
needed him
he abandoned me.
He took off
leaving no trace -
my
shadow , my partner.
We are
these days,
estranged,
my shadow and I.
