‘DIALOGUE’ – A JOURNEY WITH A MISSION |
'Dalogue’ is a unique Writers’ Forum in which writers, painters, theatre artists, singers, musicians and dancers meet uninhibitedly and keep the creative dialogue on. These regular monthly literary gatherings serve as open forum for fiction writers and poets to present their works, and for continuous flow of translations from regional Indian and South Asian languages into English and Hindi. Visiting delegates from all over the world, particularly from South Asian countries, are provided with the opportunity of interacting with writers, poets, and others from the creative arenas. ‘Dialogue’, which started in the early seventies (to be exact, in 1975) and continues its journey, meets on the last Saturday of every month in the Conference Hall in the Academy. All these years, it has had an uninterrupted run – a rare feat in itself! The meet is preceded by a cup of tea, hot samosas and free flow of literary discussion – light and yet meaningful. |
