SIXTH SAARC WRITERS CONFERENCE

THE FOUNDATION OF SAARC WRITERS AND LITERATURE TOOK EMINENT LITERATURES, INTELLECTUALS AND MEDIA PERSONS FROM THE SEVEN SAARC COUNTRIES TO THE ISLANDS OF MALDIVES FOR THE SIXTH SAARC WRITERS CONFERENCE.

The first and the only one of its kind and stature, the Foundation, after successively organising five Conferences in different SAARC countries, and several literary and creative interactions all over the SAARC region, chose Maldives – a destination which has been in the vanguard of promoting goodwill, amity and friendship among the creative people and intellectuals of the South Asian region.
Sessions
The literary discussions and interactions at the Maldives Conference focused on the following themes:
The Voice and Cultural Identity of South Asia in Contemporary Literature.
